Wasn't this an interesting exercise?! The acronym (TLA) for REBOL/Services will be LNS, barring any unknown problems with that combination.

LNS, which stands for Lightweight Network Services, ended up being selected because it quite accurately describes the concept, should be well received by most web search engines, can be pronounced not only in English but also French and other languages.

Some developers also believe that because the TLA does not begin with the word REBOL, it might also make it more appealing to other "camps" that could benefit from its optimal approach to solving the distributed computing problem. Other developers like the "lens" feel of it, given that it helps "focus" the true intent of REBOL (since the beginning of this journey, in fact). In yet another regard, it's also good not to be redundant when you write REBOL/LNS. So, that works too.

I would like to thank all of those who participated in the "quest for the TLA" which lead us on quite the adventure these last few weeks. And finally, I would like to thank Graham Chiu, who originally threw the LNS name into the fray... early in the game, if I recall correctly.
